Update to WP Robot 3
WP Robot 3 is a complete remake of the software with many sections recoded from scratch. I am sure you will like the many changes to the plugin!
Upgrading to WP Robot 3
The most important thing first: Because WP Robot 3 is more like a new plugin than an upgrade there is no direct update path from WP Robot 2! You can not simply overwrite your old installation of WP Robot with the new files like it was with previous updates. Here is what you should do:
- Install WP Robot 3 like a new plugin. Installing it besides WP Robot 2 is possible and won't cause problems. Installing WP Robot 3 is not different than before, see here for instructions.
- After activating WP Robot 3 there will be a new section in your Wordpress admin called "WP Robot 3". Please don't confuse it with the old "WP Robot" admin section.
- The plugin will ask you to enter your Paypal email after activating for the first time.
- Go to the "Options" screen of WP Robot 3 and scroll to the very bottom. Click the "Import Settings from WP Robot 2" button to import your old settings (affiliate keys and so on).
- Now you can start using WP Robot 3 by creating your first Campaign. See the documentation for instructions.
Importing the keywords from WP Robot 2 is not possible. Since WP Robot 3 is now using Campaigns, which work differently and have many more features, it would not make much sense to import them. You can now however easily paste a complete list of keywords into a single campaign.
