When you see that there is a new version available for a certain WP Robot module or the core you can simply go to the following page and request a download link for the update there:

is there a step by step to update wprobot?

i deactivated the plugin, downloaded the update from wprobot, uploaded to my plugins, but there was an error saying could not update as the path already exists.

No there is no guide but generally you only have to copy the new files over the old ones (= overwrite the WP Robot folder) and that's it. You would only have to disable and re-enable the plugin to populate the new options, if any were added with the update.

Where exactly did you get the error?

In case you are trying the automatic update in Wordpress this won't work for WP Robot. You will have to upload and overwrite the files with a FTP client.

  7. Just an addendum. I needed to update just the code. I was able to use the "One Click Plugin Updater" plugin from http://w-shadow.com/blog/2007/10/19/one-click-plugin-updater/. I just copied and pasted the url I was sent and it worked great. I suppose "Plugin Central" from http://www.prelovac.com/vladimir/wordpress-plugins/plugin-central should work as well.

Thanks wwday3, that sounds like a good suggestion.

I am able to edit my posts by the way (there is a small link at the bottom). Isn't that there for you?

  10. All I see when I view the post (after its posted) is a '#' at the bottom. But that doesn't seem to do anything.
