1970 error reintroduced

Hi. Everything was going fine until the upgrade to the latest version of wprobot. Suddenly getting a lot of the 1/1/1970 keyword errors (which essentially destroys the blog as it fills with posts, and risks a ban from places like pingomatic).

After 3 days of testing amongst 12 blogs, and eventually disabling all plugins (though they worked fine previously), the error still happens. I can not seem to force it to happen, it only happens when wprobot automatically makes a post on its own. Often it is the first keyword in the list that is the problem, but it also happens to other keywords, sometimes all of the keywords.

I've disabled wprobot on 40 blogs, until I can get them all rebuilt. I was hoping you could look into this, I suspect something in the latest update as it was ok previously, and it is not due to any other plugins.

As a slight follow up, I noticed Sometimes when bulk adding keywords, that though they have different dates, they have the same time... (it looks like when one posts the others appear to post as well). Not sure if its related.

The last update changed nothing in regards to how keywords and posting works. I haven't heard anything from anyone else regarding such problems since the update either.

Could you send me a login to one of the blogs so I can check if I notice something?

  4. I'm having a similar problem. No future auto post are happening. Keywords says next post is 01/01/1970.

    see example:
Keyword Posts Created Category Next Post
Keyword Posts Created Category Next Post

    Edit | Delete | Post Now 0 ( Amazon:0 Articles:0 Yahoo:0 Clickbank:0 News:0 ) baseball 01/1/1970 00:00:00

Thomas, yes I can send you a blog to monitor. I just fixed one up for you, funny, it was fine until I disabled all the other plugins, then suddenly all the wprobot keywords went 1970. I tried to do it again, but couldn't recreate that. I think it was because it had made some automatic posts just prior to me resetting it up for you.

The new change to the latest update would be the 'automatically create categories' when bulk adding keywords, it might be related to that. I dunno. I've spent many many hours debugging.

I'll find the contact form and send you details, and you can monitor the blog for a while. Make changes to it if you like. We'll use it for testing. Its not set to post again automatically until tomorrow (even with that, its a random problem and doesnt happen every time), but we can watch it for a few days.

Disable all other plugins (temporarily), then reset your keywords (delete them and then readd them), then monitor the blog for a few days to see if you have a plugin conflict. Please report back your findings.

    @Thomas

I am facing a similar problem the last couple of days. I am getting the 1970 error for keywords everytime a new post is created for that keyword.

Recently I had activated some plugins requiring cron jobs which may be conflicting with WP Robot. Subsequently I have deactivated these plugins but the 1970 error is still there.

I have tried deleting the keywords and adding them again but the error is still there.

Any idea how it can be solved?

  10. I just installed WP Robot and I'm getting the same error. It says my next post will be on 1/1/1970. I manually set up keywords, no batching, created a few backdated posts and that's about it. I deleted the keywords, deactivated it, deleted wprobot from my blog and reinstalled it. I also deactivated my other plugins (I don't have wordpress wiki) and reactivated it and I'm still getting the error.

Hi ThomasG! Thanks for posting and providing those details. I wonder if wordpress is messing with things again... are you running 2.9.2 ? (Im trying to find someone who is running 2.9.1 still, but using the latest wprobot on it.)

UPdate: I disable all the plugins.....reactivate wprobot the date were update..i activate each plugin one at the time, so far still good. Did not find any conflict with others plugin, this just was there and now is back to normal.

As per now all my blog have the 01/1/1970 00:00:00...... I created a new blog with just WProbot last night and still get 01/1/1970 00:00:00.

Yes I try it with ver 2.10 and 2.11 with just wprobot install. Both showing 01/1/1970 00:00:00.

  16. There seems to be a conflict between WPRobot and the "delete duplicate posts" plugin. Yesterday I deactivated the "dpp" plugin, then deleted my keywords in WPRobot and re-entered them and they showed the correct date.

After re-entering everything I activated the "dpp" plugin. I checked it this morning and all of my keywords were back to 1970. I then had to go through the whole process again.

Is this something that WPRobot can fix? If not, can anyone recommend a plugin that will remove duplicate posts that works well with WPRobot?

@kaostyl: Could you send me a login to your blog so I can have a look at the problem?

    @ThomasG: Is it this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/delete-duplicate-posts/ ?

I am having the same problem on a bunch of my blogs but not all of them.

Some of the blogs still work but 10 of them have the 1/1/1970 issue.

I just deleted my 8 keywords and added them back in. 3 of them show the correct date and the other 5 show the 1/1/1970

I must shamefully report the OP I made and the 1970 error are totally my fault. I made a mistake using the bulk add feature. If you are using bulk add, make sure you are using the correct format.

    KEYWORD;CATEGORY;TIMESPAN;TIMEFORMAT

    ie...

    antique pottery;antiques;3;days

    (every 3 days)

    ...or...

    antique pottery;antiques;3;hours

    (every 3 hours)

So if you have been bulk adding keywords, DOUBLECHECK your formats.

Thomas, I apologize to you and truly appreciate and thank you for your time (and program).

I can confirm, that there is a conflict with the "delete duplicate posts" plugin. Too bad, it was really handy in addition to wprobot.
