Hi,

I have just discovered that one of my older sites is dead. Every page is just showing an error code as follows:
===
Fatal error: Call to undefined function rotencode() in /home/bletheri/public_html/dreamcruiseguide/wp-content/plugins/WPRobot3/wprobot.php on line 220
===

Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix this, especially as I cannot even login to the admin page (/wp-login.php) as this also displays the error code instead of the usual login.

What should I do now?

Many thanks!

Paul

Lunatic, thank you for your quick response. Yes, I have gone on to Amazon looking for browsenodes but haven't found them were you indicated they would be. Here is an example of what is found in the url window for a Sony Camera, Sony Digital SLR:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dphoto&field-keywords=Sony+Digital+SLR

That was the result of a search for this string "Sony Digital SLR" in Amazon's product search box. If I actually click on one of the cameras found in the resultant search window I get this in the url:

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-A390-Digital-SLR-Camera/dp/B003TQN2VG/ref=sr_1_1?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1332800819&sr=1-1

So you see, I don't see anything which can be identified as a browsenode. Am I missing something?

Please advise. Thank you.

Seems browsenodes.com is not updated or working anymore and you should look for the nodes directly on Amazon. They are displayed in the URL when you click on a category as nodeID=XXXX

Help! I cannot access browsenodes.com

I am getting the following error message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare dbQuoted() (previously declared in /home/common/database.php:72) in /home/nodes/public_html/tools.php on line 715

I have tried clearing my browser cache; using another browser (I use Chrome so I tried IE, and Firfox to no avail).

Has anyone got a solution to this fatal error? Hope to hear from you.

So it happens all the time (i.e. for every keyword) when you use Amazon Template 2 but for other templates it works?

Are you using the latest WP SP version and does the error message reference the same line i.e. "on line 769" or a different one?

I have this problem too. I see it's been 3 months with no reply; how about telling us what we shouldn't do? ;)

I was using Amazon Template 2, not sure what you mean by 'specific times'. I changed all the keywords, even made them as generic as possible.

Should we be careful with specific templates? Is there a 'best practice' for keywords?

Thanks,

This is caused due to the script taking longer to execute that what is allowed on the server.
You can change the max execution time in the php.ini file if you have access to it to solve this issue globally.

If you are on a shared host and don't have access to the php.ini file then you can add the following line to wprobot.php file in you installation.

ini_set('max_execution_time', 600);

In a nutshell this will set the max execution time to 600 every time this script is called.

If other files give you the same timeout problem add the line above to each one and you should have no problems.

Hi guys,
Tried to install a full bought version of WP Robot just now, on a domain of mine.
Site was functional before the install, and I disactivated my WO-o-matic plugin, prior to installing Robot.
Uploaded the zip as usual and installed, but at the activation stage, received an error message:

Now the site is inaccessible, for login or anything. Still have access to cpanel and files obviously, but not sure what to do next.
Any help gratefully appreciated, thanks.

Thanks! That was it! During upgrade from demo to paid version I must have also activated Networking. So only sub blogs which had the demo running before worked, but not the ones which hadn't.

Thanks again!

Please try network deavtivate and then use single activation on your sub blog. Network activation can not work with WP Robot because it prevents the necessary databases from getting set up.
